Our Bourgogne Côtes d’Auxerre Cuvée Louis Bersan is produced from our old vines grown on the kimmeridgian limestone slopes. This wine has a tannic structure due to ageing in oak and Red fruit notes give it its lightness and finesse.
GRAPE VARIETY: Pinot Noir 100 %.
YIELD: 35 Hl / Ha
MATURING: 100% in barrels, 1/3 in half-hogshead (600Liters), 2/3 in ‘pièce’ (228 Liters)
TASTING NOTES: The nose is dominated by the very fresh fruit that gives to the wine an impression of rigidity. Slightly acid dominant. We guess this wine has a great ageing potential. The aroma, especially gooseberry and heart cherry complemented with a fine chocolaty taste of oak doesn’t dominate.
AGING WINE: 4 to 6 years
SERVING DEGUSTATIONS: White and red meats, tender cheese even in summer with a unique dish
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 15 to 17°C
